Popravka O. Formation of the effective bank supervision structure in Ukraine

The dissertation is devoted to developing of theoretical and methodological support and practical recommendations aimed at forming of the effective structure of bank supervision mechanism. The paper summarizes the theoretical and methodological principles of the effective bank supervision structure, proves economic nature, functions and objectives of bank supervision, presents a classification of subjects and objects of bank regulations and supervision, concepts and methodological principles of formation of an effective structure of bank supervision, researches the international experience in bank regulations and supervision of bank activities. Conformity of the national structure of bank supervision to European standards is outlined, and the main factors influencing the effective structure of bank supervision are described. The concept of counter-cyclical regulation is proposed and a methodical approach to the calculation of counter-cyclical capital buffer is grounded, directions for improving the institutional and functional structure of bank supervision are reasoned, a methodical approach to determination of the level of the efficiency of the structure of bank supervision is proposed.
