Essay

The object of study: structural strength of thin-walled machine elements with non-uniform thinning during prolonged use. The goal - improve methods for analyzing structural strength of thin-walled elements of complex engineering structures including thinning due to uneven wear for long life. Methods: Methods of the theory of elasticity, vibration theory, finite element method, methods strain measurement and thickness. Theoretical and practical results: improved methods of determining the stress-strain state of thin-walled structural elements with the influence of uneven thinning. Scientific novelty: developed an approach to the analysis of stress-strain state, taking into account the effect of thinning of thin-walled elements of machine designs by perturbing the thickness as a distributed parameter; аn approach to the definition sensitivity coefficients. Implementation level: The results are introduced in "Azovmash" (Mariupol). Scope: engineering design of thin-walled structures.
