Zaharchenko N. Communicative and cognitive specifics of Martin Luther's polemic treatises.

The thesis focuses on the communicative and cognitive specifics of Martin Luther's polemic treatises. Structural, compositional and genre features of polemic treatises as well as basic communicative strategies and tactics applied in them, have been investigated from stylistic, communicative and cognitive perspectives. Linguostylistic means of expression have been singled out on the ground of stylistic, semantic and pragmalinguistic analysis of M. Luther's polemical treatises. The idea and intentions of M. Luther's struggle with his opponents, language means of their verbalization as well as stylistic, semantic and cognitive characteristics of the main concept STRUGGLE activated in the texts analyzed have been investigated.
