Essay

Object: presbyopia. Purpose: to optimize the presbyopia optical correction, on the basis of studing of morphometric features and functional changes in the accommodative apparatus with its ophthalmoergonomic substantiation. Methods: morphometry, autorefractometry, proximetry, estimation of relative rest of accommodation, reading speed and life quality, devices for ultrasound biomicroscopy, optical coherence tomography and autorefractomety. The anterior and middle portions decrease and posterioir portion of Zinn ligament increase in perizonular space and decrease of all portions in orbicular space were observed. Decrease of orbicular space was found at presbyops. A close relation of volume accommodation and age in emmetropic presbyops was noted compared with hyperopia and myopia. Comparison of different types of presbyopia optical correction showed that progressive glasses provide the highest quality of life. Ergonomic characteristics of different types of presbyopia optical correction were determined. A new method of presbyopia correction using approximating the area of relative rest of accommodation at a distance of 1 m from the eye was developed. Results have been implemented in 4 medical facilities of Ukraine. Sphere of application - medicine, ophthalmology.
