Object of research. Methods of quality evaluation and physiological changes during sperm collection and cryopreservation. Subject of research. Ejaculates of black-and-white Danish, black-and-white Holstein, Simmental and Charollais bull breeds, diluted, frozen and thawn sperm, diluents of animal and plant origin, artificial insemination means. Research methods. Zootechnical, technical, physiological, morphological, biochemical, biometric. Novelty. A set of new methods that provide an improvement of breeding stud bulls? sperm quality parameters as well as methods for sperm preparation for cryopreservation, have been developed and patented. The practical significance of the results. The practical significance of the dissertation work is confirmed by a widespread use of the developed methods and express-tests in herd reproduction practices applied in a number of dairy cattle breeding farms of different forms of ownership.
