Hryhorenko S. Typological aspects of the genre of piano etudes (The first half of 20th century).

The thesis considers the immanence characteristics of the genre and formulate definitions of the genre theory to determine the specificity of piano etude. Genre and semantic invariant was modeled, also genre-stylistic typologization of etude was provided. The path of the evolution of genre was revealed in all of its versions (instructional, concerts, art, jazz, multidisciplinary mixed). A comprehensive analysis of samples of piano etude from first half of the 20th century was conducted and revealed specific patterns of cycles of etudes. Specific of creation of the mixed genre was considered also as the nature of interaction poetics etude as with a related, and also with antithetic genres or elements of other genres elements.
