Essay

The theoretical legitimacy and practical expediency of introduction of the notion of the prose lyrics and implementation of related terminological corrections are asserted in the thesis. There was demarcated established concept of lyrical prose and proposed the notion of the prose lyrics. The necessity of the usage of the term prose lyrics to denote one of the types of lyrics and inappropriate attribution prosaic-lyrical short story to genre of lyrical prose was proved. The prose lyrics as a type of the art of writing and its origin and peculiarities of poetics were investigated. There were traced the leading trends of deployment prosaic-lyrical letters from ancient times to present.
