Essay

The author solved a scientific problem, which is directed at improving the efficiency of the process of separation the seeds of castor oil and normalizing dust in the air of the working area. Based on analysis of the ways and the most common types of machines for separation of bulk materials and cleaning the air flow, existing results of theoretical and experimental studies proved the rational way of the separation of the seeds of castor oil and the purification method of air flow from poisoning castor seed dust. It became possible to develop a new technological scheme of air separator with the dust collecting device, which gave an opportunity to take into account the requirements for quality of separation the seeds of castor oil ensuring the norms for dust in the air. On the basis of the theoretical studies there was obtained a mathematical model of the particle dust motion in the vertical channel and its moving, and there were identified some patterns of the air separator design and its technological parameters influence on the process of purification of the seeds. Experimental studies conducted in accordance with generally accepted and developed techniques confirmed the results of theoretical calculations and allowed to refine the design parameters of air separator with the dust collecting device.
