Essay

Dissertation is devoted to study clinical and pathogenetic aspects of the diagnosis infection and reactivation of Epstein–Barr virus and cytomegalovirus infection in children with chronic gastroduodenal pathology. It is established that the Epstein–Barr virus and cytomegalovirus infection contribute to the development of chronic gastroduodenal pathology, its debut, progression, chronicity. It is evidenced by the high infection of the Epstein–Barr virus, was 87,78 % of subjects, cytomegalovirus – 61,11 % of patients. In a third of patients diagnosed with reactivation of the specified representatives of herpes viruses. The results of histological studies indicate that pathological changes in the gastric mucosa in children with chronic gastritis is more pronounced in terms of infection with cytomegalovirus and Epstein–Barr virus. Identified clinical, paraclinical differences in the surveyed children have allowed to develop prognostic criteria for chronic gastroduodenal pathology associated with cytomegalovirus and/or Epstein–Barr virus infection.
