Sas I. Formation and development of cooperative enterprises in the agricultural sector.

Author discusses the theoretical and methodological aspects of functionality of cooperation in a transitive state of the agricultural sector. The problems of the formation and development of cooperation as a socio-economic phenomenon and the formation of various types of cooperative enterprises as the legal form of the organization of economic activity in rural areas are examined. Modern scientific approaches of understanding of the fundamental concepts that describe the cooperation, in particular, the concept of cooperative environment; the cooperative movement and the conditions for its transformation into a sustainable co-operative process; value of cooperative form as an economic category, that concentrates in itself the cooperative relationship in the agricultural sector as a special type of socio-economic relations in the process of rural development are viewed and approved. Fundamental principles, on which in the future the cooperation in agricultural sector should be based, are examined. The concept and ways of cooperative forms and cooperative relations in the agricultural sector of the Lviv region are shown.
