Prokhorenko K. Climate as an object of environmental protection in Ukraine.

This thesis is a comprehensive study of сlimate as an object of environmental protection in Ukraine. The author formulates the determination of climate in the sense of the legal regulation aimed to prevent the dangerous anthropogenic influence on the climate, identifies the features of the legal regime of its protection and determines the status it has in the system of objects of environmental protection according to Ukrainian legislation. The legal regulation of international climate treaties, in particular the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Kyoto Protocol, the European Union Law and the Ukrainian legislation are considered here. On the basis of legislation on climate change of some foreign countries, a theoretical approach to the systematization of legislation on the climate in Ukraine is proposed. The mechanism of legal regulation of climate protection in Ukraine including its preventive measures, functional support and economic mechanism in this sphere is analyzed.
