Maksimenko M. The legal basis for optimization of land use structure in Ukraine

The dissertation is based on the analisis of land law legal doctrine and land law of Ukraine as well as forieng legislation. The legal basis for optimization of land use structure can contribute to reduction of the size of plowed land in Ukraine, increase of its forest cover, expansion of areas with natural systems, control and elimination of erosion and degradation processes, elimination of fragmentation of agricultural land and significant improvement of cost-effectiveness of its use. In the dissertation the mechanisms of legal support to optimization of land use structure in Ukraine (norm setting, land-use planning, ecological network, consolidation, land management) are analyzed and suggestions for improvement of current legislation of Ukraine in respective area are made.
