The theses under discussion deals with the investigation of the problem of ethnic minorities students' socialisation in higher school institutions on the example of Romanian representatives. The basic psychological parameters influencing the efficiency of the person's socialisation process have been specified through analyzing various scientific sources. These parameters are: the degree of social and psychological adaptation; the index of subjective control; the quality of the self-assessment. According to the latter standards the author has worked out the following criteria that prove socialization efficiency: adaptation, internal locus of control, advanced or average level of self-assessment. The above mentioned criteria determine the patterns (the combination of parameters indices) that prove the efficiency of the socialization process. The empiric research has revealed the peculiarities of implementing the patterns of efficient socialization among different students' categories both in the beginning and at the end of the learning process. On the whole, the investigation, held during the four years of studies at the University, points at the change of the indices of the diagnosed psychological parameters that means the decrease of the socialization process efficiency in the mono-ethnic groups of both Romanian and Ukrainian students, as well as the progress of Romanian students, who study in mixed ethnic groups. Besides, it shows certain stability concerning the Ukrainian students who also study in the ethnically mixed academic groups. It has been empirically proved that the socialization level of the students' accuracy (the ones representing the ethnic minorities) has been making up for the extension of their communication activity beyond the level of the mono-ethnic medium. The latter process has been identically and ethnically based on condition of poly-cultural interaction within small and large groups. Certain social and psychological steps of the directed affect of the higher educational institution on the students' socialization accuracy have been suggested in the paper.
