Martsinovska D. The phenomenon of religious belief in Catholicism: the problematic discourses of XX - beginning of XXI centuries.

The thesis is a comprehensive study and religious nature, origins and development of the phenomenon of religious faith by the example of Catholicism XX - beginning of XXI centuries. The dissertation of systematic theological positions analyzed the current state of the phenomenon of religious belief and Catholic expressions of its identity. In particular, the role of the faith is cleared as the defining identity of the Christian religion. Research reveals and justifies the Catholic theological vision and theological interpretation of the phenomenon of religious belief. The features interpretations of faith in Catholicism late nineteenth - mid-twentieth century. A clarification of the nature of official church interpretation of faith in Catholicism to the Second Vatican Council, it is proved that the phenomenon of faith in the documents of the cathedral was systematic and comprehensive updating and interpretation in the context of social, spiritual and pastoral challenges of the twentieth century. The dominant trends of vision of the phenomenon of religious belief are analyzed in the writings of Popes John Paul II, Benedict XVI and Franciscus solved their learning principles of faith, which is based on a rational interpretation of the prerequisites of faith, especially Christian virtues as a universal moral landmark that complemented their actual social interpretation.
