The dissertation work investigates forming and functioning problems of flax growing in Ukraine. The theoretical and methodical bases of the field functioning are considered, as well as the role of the field in the agricultural production. The methodological bases of the flax growing efficiency calculation are determined. The contemporary state and the main trends in the field, generally in Ukraine and in the investigated region, are analyzed. The efficiency of flax growing is calculated. The influence of the field upon the well-balanced development is determined. The development and the field efficiency improvement strategy, as well as directions of the state policy improvement and proposals concerning the local programs of flax growing improvement are grounded. The material and financial needs for the field revivification through the fibre flax growing efficiency improvement in agricultural enterprises are calculated.
