Timkova T. Macroconcept ATMOSPHERIC PHENOMENA at the Turkish language picture of the world

Peculiarities of macroconcept ATMOSPHERIC PHENOMENA (APh) at the Turkish language picture of the world is analysed in the thesis. Lexical units which verbalize macroconcept APh at the Turkish language picture of the world are described; semantic classification of vocabulary that designates atmospheric phenomena at the Turkic languages are made and the lexical material (541 units) in 32 languages is divided into 28 group. A conceptual metaphor as a fragment of the Turkish language picture of the world based on the material of concepts with atmospheric phenomena meanings is studied. Cognitive definition of lexical units which represent macroconcept APh in the Turkish language in general and in Anatolian dialects in particular is investigated. Phraseological units which represent macroconcept APh and lexemes which designate APh at the Anatolian dialects of the Turkish language and in the Turkish literature of the period of the Turkish Republic are revieved.
