Essay

Dissertation is devoted to plasma conversion of hydrocarbons (bioethanol and bioglycerol) into synthesis gas in a plasma-liquid system with reverse vortex CO2/Air flow of "Tornado" type with liquid electrode. CO2 was used to affect the plasma-chemical processes of reforming. It was found that the addition of CO2 in the plasma-liquid system increases non-isothermality of plasma. Also it increases the basic components concentration of synthesis gas (H2 and CO) in the initial products of the plasma system during the reforming of ethanol and bioglycerol. [H2]/[CO] ratio does not change within the error with different percentage of CO2 in the working gas. A possible explanation for this is the fact that carbon dioxide inhibits the exothermic process (complete oxidation) of reforming products. Dynamic plasma system with rotational glide arc with two solid and with one liquid electrode was studied. Constant discharge movement on electrodes and the ability to work at low power significantly increases work resource these systems.
