Essay

The dissertation is a comprehensive monographic research of the restraint measure house arrest under the new Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The place of house arrest in a system of restraint measures under criminal procedure legislation of Ukraine was considered. Based on this analysis the definition of "house arrest" was proposed. Comprehensive study of the reasons and conditions for the election of house arrest was made. In the dissertation the procedural order of house arrest election was revealed and suggestions for its improvement were provided.
