The thesis is devoted to transformation processes in the military and political sphere of foreign policy of the United States in the first decade after the end of the "cold war" under conditions of geopolitical changes. During the research a comprehensive analysis of the key positions in the foreign ideology of the United States in the early post-bipolar era had been conducted. In a broader sense - a thorough study of current issues such as global leadership ambitions of Washington, prospects of NATO expansion, and its place in the U.S. foreign policy strategy are provided. In addition, it is given a comparative analysis of foreign policy transformations in the Bush and Clinton Administrations. The author describes the post-bipolar military strategy of the United States. For a better understanding, the military doctrine in conditions of medium intensity conflict, the Russian factor in the formation of the U.S. foreign policy priorities, policies of Washington regarding nuclear disarmament of Ukraine, and the role of the military forces of the White House in the formation of a liberal international economic order are being widely discussed. Moreover, the decision making processes and subsequent U.S. military participation in such operations as in Iraq (1990-1991), Somalia, Bosnia and Kosovo were intelligently studied.
