Dissertation is devoted to the theoretical problems of the economic mechanism of formation of small tonnage of shipping companies in terms of the integration process. The thesis summarizes the characteristics of the global freight market and the Azov-Black sea range. On the necessity of work, strategy formation in Ukraine shipping companies operating tonnage of the fleet for the transport of goods in cross-border trade and cabotage technology "Short Sea Shipping" the principles of accessibility and feasibility of the calculation of the competitive level of investment available in the fleet. Formed model and clarified the definition of the economic mechanism of the development of companies, based on the effects of exogenous and enegenous factors helps to normalize the functional activity and competitiveness of companies in the market environment.
