Essay

The thesis presents theoretical generalization of functions of biologically active substances such as lectin-like proteins. Their changes during oil flax ontogenetic development depending on genotype, organ and cellular localization were analyzed. Their participation in certain plant activities such as the process of adaptation to abiotic stress factors and mobilization of auxiliary oils during seed germination was established. Techniques optimized for oil flax lectin extraction out of different cellular fractions of vegetative and generative organs were proposed, as well as methodology for determining the activity level of these proteins, using rabbit erythrocytes as a test object.
