Dissertation thesis is devoted to the finding out value of changes in the system of generation and neutralisation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) for formation cross-resistance of plants to the hyperthermia and osmotic shock. Short-term influence of the hyperthermia and osmotic shock on wheat plantlets caused the gradual direct and cross development of their heat and osmotic resistance (effect of hardening). After the hardening influences of both types, the short-term increase in content of hydrogen peroxide in organs of wheat plantlets was noted. The value of this increase for the subsequent development of effect of cross-resistance of plants to the damaging heat and osmotic influences is proved.
