Essay

The thesis is devoted to studying features of the exciton excitations migration in PIC and amphi-PIC J-aggregates at conditions of their formation in water solutions, polymer films and reverse micelles. It has been shown different dimensionality of the J-aggregates, which is one-dimensional in a case of PIC J-aggregates and three-dimensional in a case of amphi-PIC J-aggregates. Significant difference in exciton diffusion lengths has been found, which are l = 80 nm for PIC J-aggregates and l = 3 nm for amphi-PIC J-aggregates. Formation of PIC and amphi-PIC J-aggregates in polymer films leads to a similarity of their spectral properties and exciton transport characteristics, which is caused both by PIC J-aggregates structure changing and by static disorder growing. It has been demonstrated a radiationless energy transfer efficiency growth in layered polymeric films in case of J-aggregates separation on the traps by thin polymer layer. It has been found an ability to control the exciton migration characteristics in the J-aggregates formed in water solutions via detergents implementation in form of molecular shell or reverse micelles.
