Essay

The thesis gives detailed analysis of natural and technogenic factors influencing the engineering-geological condition of lower cretaceous clays. Consequence technogenic influences upon clays of lower cretaceous clays are a change engineering-geological factors, which bring about destruction of the buildings and dangerous activation landslides, erosions, weathering. On the basis of the analysis physical and mechanical condition of the clays under study, regression equations are built for the purpose of determination deformation and strength parameters of their physical characteristics, which allows to promptly obtain the result and solve engineering-geologic problems. The method of engineering and geologic zoning of lower cretaceous clays was grounded on the basis of integral numerical appraisal of the territory that provides full-scale characteristics of the zones and gives the possibility to detach heterogeneous engineering and geologic zones. On the basis of the analysis of the actual material, the engineering and geologic zoning of the clays in study has been carried out. The thesis provides development of the principles of engineering and geologic monitoring of clays, which gives opportunity to create a data base, to forecast the development of the situation, to elaborate the system of engineering protection of the territory, which increases the engineering and geologic safety of living.
