The dissertation is devoted to the complex analysis of the head of a business entity as the subject of labor law. Analyzed the concept, nature and main components of the legal status of the head of the business entity, its place among the subjects of labor law. Determined work functions of the head of a business entity that is implementing legal personality of a business partnership. Suggested proper definition of head of a business entity as an official, elected, appointed or approved for the organization and operational management of the business entity (employer) and powers endowed him alone, either directly or through other subordinate officers to manage the activities of a of a business entity and the implementation of its legal personality.
