Zalievskyi V. The final phase of liberation of the Soviet Union in covering memoirs the representatives of Land Forces of the Red Army (December 1943 – November 1944)

In the thesis for the first time since a new wave of reprints of the big complex of memories of representatives of the Land Forces of the Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army on the final phase of the liberation of the Soviet Union were analyzed. The history of their publications was comprehensively traced and a characteristic of the memories editions periods was identified and characterized. Analysis of memoirs and their comparison with archival documents and published sources allowed to consider the main stages of the liberation of the Soviet Union in 1944. Differences in reviews about operations and results of the winter-spring and summer-autumn war campaigns in memoirs were examined. The moral and psychological condition during the third year of war, attitude to the Supreme Command, images of the enemy and allies according to memories were examined and characterized.
