Essay

The thesis deals with a pressing issue of practical medicine consisting in improving efficiency of orthopedic treatment with plastic bonded to metal fixed dentures by development and application of a new polymer facing material and coating varnish. The work advocates the method of creating adhesion in metal - coating varnish - polymer structure for whole piece dentures with esthetic polymer facing. Based upon clinical evidence, clinical efficiency of orthopedic treatment with composite whole piece fixed dentures using the method of fixing a mechanic retention structure on the metal base with further applying a new coating varnish and esthetic facing with a new acrylic polymer has been proven. Decreased number of complications in clinical practice allows the method in question to be recommended for wider practical use.
