The dissertation is devoted both to the exploration of Formalism as a synthetic theoretical, art and social phenomenon and to the investigation of its realization in the Ukrainian context. The model of system of Formalism was build. On the basis of this model processes of formation and functioning of Formalism in Ukraine was described and the paradigm of its development was characterized.
