Essay

This dissertation is focused on investigation of correlation properties of superposing mutually orthogonal linearly polarized waves using the data related to spatial polariza-tion distribution and visualized through the distribution of volumetric energy density, when the degree of coherence of initial waves affects the dynamics of polarizationally induced motion of test particles of gold ?/100 in size. It is shown that polarizationally dependent response of polarization-sensitive media of layered crystals of the lead diio-dide type and of natural and artificial molecular crystals of the protein and benzol type can be used as the basis for realization of polarization-guided optical bistability. This presents an alternative approach to generation of the systems of recording and storing optical data.
