Essay

Dissertation is focused on the political power of the theory of communicative action of the well-known German scientist Jugen Habermas, representative of the second generation of the Frankfurt School. The author reveals the theoretical and methodological backgrounds of J.Habermas political power study through the approach of methodological principle of intersubjectivity. J.Habermas argues that knowledge is based on the communicative action that causes the discursive public discussion not only the results but also the process of cognition. Any research can not abstract from researcher and his legal position, and the result depends on the compliance of research methods to purposes of research. There was increased the understanding of the 'political content' in J.Habermas theory of communicative action, that was reflected in the author's vision from the position of political science, the value of a number of concepts that have been explained or introduced into scientific circulation by authoritative German scientist. There was revealed the essence and shed the light on the place of political power in the theory of communicative action, delimited political power as one that is born in the communication process, and one that creates an artificial imitation of legitimacy.
