Offers a comprehensive analysis of animalistic discourse which has never before been the object of linguistic studies. Proceeding from the existing data on the point of view (narrative perspective), detailed views on narrative, narrator and focalizer, and the idea of discourse as a horizontal stretch across the vertical divisions through language functional styles, we came to the conclusion that animalistic discourse covers corresponding sections in scientific, popular science, and imaginative styles, each of which offers an ample amount of animalistic prose.
