Thesis is devoted to research of organization of internal affairs bodies on prevention and cessation of group violations of public order and mass riots. The main reasons and conditions that contribute to group violations of public order and massive riots have been described in the work. The main subjects of prevention and cessation of group violations of public order and massive riots system is defined. Having in mind the accumulated experience of internal affairs bodies during conducting of public events, the main stages of organization and ensuring of public order by internal affairs bodies are developed; the main directions of the activities of internal affairs bodies on prevention and cessation of group violations of public order and mass riots are developed on the basis of studying the foreign experience.
