The prevalence of HIV-associated herpetic infection in HIV- infected persons in Ivano-Frankivsk region was studied, the diagnostic importance of its serological and virological markers was evaluated. Clinical and laboratory criteria of HIV-associated herpetic infection were worked out, two-stage algorithm of diagnostics was proposed, that enables to verify in time its clinical forms and prescribe complex treatment depending on the stage of HIV-infection. Complex treatment of patients with HIV-associated herpetic infection using immunoglobulin preparations was proposed and its effectiveness was studied. In the result of complex treatment clinical manifestations of oropharyngeal and genital herpes disappeared on (6,31±0,4) day in patients with I-III disease stages, on (12,95±1,43) in patients with IV stage, disease relapses within 3 months didn’t occur, IL-2 levels increased from (2,59±0,76) pg/mL to (4,03±0,62), (р<0,05), IL-4 level decreased from (1,97±0,37) pg/mL to (0,61±0,06), (р<0,05). Effectiveness of complex treatment in patients with herpetic infection and I-III stage of HIV-infection was 46,34%, and in patients with IV stage of HIV infection – 22,50%.
