Buchynska A. Aldministative and Legal Principles of Local Government Activity as per Legislation of Ukraine and Poland

The thesis is dedicated to a comparative analysis of- administrative and legal principles of activity of local governments under the legislation of Ukraine and Poland. As a result of this research I determined a general nature of principles of activity of local governments. It observes urgent legal issues of activity of local governments of Ukraine and Poland. Describes the essence and legal content of foundation and development of local governments in Ukraine and Poland, peculiarities of foundation of these authorities, authorities and functions, legal and organization forms and methods of their public activity. It suggests determination of term "public activity of local government". It explains a concept of rural, town and city head as a sole executive on the level of rural, town and city community. It differentiates such legal categories as a "competence" and "authorities" of local governments.
