Essay

It was determined that increase of M0.5Bi0.5TiO3 content in (1-x)BaTiO3-xM0.5Bi0.5TiO3 (M = Na, K) solid solutions increases the Curie temperature. It was found that grain boundary and outlayer region make the main contribution to the PTCR effect in solid solutions (1-x)BaTiO3-xM0.5Bi0.5TiO3 (M = Na, K). It was shown that the use of pre-synthesized by oxalate method barium titanate in preparation of (1-x)BaTiO3-xM0.5Bi0.5TiO3 (M = Na,K) solid solutions enhances the minimum value of resistance, increases the ceramic's grain size and reduces the sintering temperature of ceramics compared with solid state reaction technique.
