Slobodian M. Linguistic and cognitive parameters of the concept "MONETARY RELATIONS" in English-speaking mapping of the world

The dissertation investigates the linguistic and cognitive parameters of the concepts grouped into segments SOCIAL RELATIONS and HUMAN CHARACTER composing the macroconcept MONETARY RELATIONS in the English-speaking mapping of the world. The research is based on the conceptual and semantic analysis techniques of the multi-level means of the concepts verbalization. The conceptual features of the concept structure are established, their oppositional attitude is stated, the meaningful analysis of nuclear and peripheral zones in the structure of concepts is provided. Besides, the active processes of metaphorization and associative transference of meaning are stated in the semantics of the phraseological means of verbalization. In the interpretation of the investigated macroconcept by native speakers the features of culturally significant information are highlighted. They express an emotional evaluation component and enable the detection of the specific features of language and cultural society, and the concepts associative relations with adjacent/ non-adjacent conceptual spheres.
