The dissertation investigates the methodological basis of official statistics development assistance (DA) in Ukraine. The study overviews the background of DA, its trends and patterns in terms of sustainable development. Taking into account the importance of DA and a lack of its official statistical presentation the study is mainly devoted to DA analysis and sources of information. Arguing the need of the systemic official statistics on DA, the key concepts of statistics of DA, its overall goals and objectives are developed. The types of DA are classified. Existing statistical and administrative sources of DA are investigated and extended. Reporting statistical unit for DA and unit of observation are argued. The structure and the content of statistical estimation of DA are improved. The DA survey program and questionnaire are proposed. The related groups of DA' indicators in the context of DA effectiveness in Ukraine are considered. The need for statistical estimation of the impact of DA on country development at both international and national levels is argued. The analysis of existing approaches to DA efficiency measurement is performed. Using a fixed effect panel for 15 post-soviet countries, a comparative assessment of DA and FDI impact on country development is argued and performed.
