Shkrobot M. Provision of strategic modernization of hydroelectric power plants

The thesis is devoted to the development of conceptual principles, scientific and methodological fundamentals for strategic modernization of hydroelectric power plants. The work gives the grounds for the necessity of transition from purely technical upgrading to the strategic modernization of Ukrainian hydroelectric power plants as a set of measures aimed at the permanent improving of technical and technological, socio-economic and environmental processes in hydroelectric power plants operation, which allows for long-term qualitative changes through the use of Foresight methodology, including external challenges and threats. The improved socio-economic approach to modeling changes of investment attractiveness of hydroelectric power takes into account the dynamics of changes in economic, social, environmental and technological performance of companies that allows to distinguish the determinants of the increase of investment attractiveness of companies and identify those that significantly affect the increase of their investment attractiveness. There was developed the organizational-economic mechanism for strategic modernization of hydroelectric power, which is based on the principles of public-private partnerships and allows to reconcile the interests of the public and private partners and consider the impact of institutions investing in the strategic modernization.
