Essay

The dissertation deals with the nature of retail chains and the effectiveness of their development. Characteristics of retail chains have been systematized and their classification has been supplemented by the additional features. The modern trend of retail chains in Ukraine and regions have been studied. Indicators that reflect the importance of retail chains in national economy have been analyzed. Methodical approach to evaluating the effectiveness of retail chains based on matrix analysis that includes an assessment of both operational and strategic development of retail chains has been explained.
