Chukhlii S. The Historian Mihailo Vasuliovych Klochkov (1877-1952): the fate and creative achievements

Object of research is historian M. V. Klochkov in a context of that time historical and historiographic processes. The purpose of the thesis is scientific reconstruction of M. V. Klochkov' (1877-1952) life and creative work. Used methods are biographical, historical-typological, historical-genetic, historical-comparative analysis, synthesis. Scientific novelty: the figure of M. V. Klochkov became the object of separate research for the first time; M. V. Klochkov life and main activities in the social and cultural context were studied; new archival sources, which allow us to determine the circums-tances of his life and work, were involved into scientific use; the level of this theme scientific determination was defined and new directions of following investigations were outlined, the periodization of V. M. Klochkov creative biography was offered and certain it's facts and events were estimated; with the purpose of definition his contribution to certain scientific problem-solving a majority of V. M. Klochkov works were found out and analyzed; the dynamics of scientist' creative activity was analyzed, was created a characteristic of his publications corpus, the changes in V. M. Klochkov' topics and methodology were determined and characterized. Practical significance is in following scientific work at personalities of historians, in preparing academic work of historiography and biographical studies, special works which are devoted to certain periods of the history of Ukraine and Russia, in reference biographic books. Usage: high educational institutions.
