The thesis is made a clear distinction between the concepts of "epistolary" (set any epistolary tracts, texts), "epistolary genre" (leaf abstract pattern as a genre unit) and "epistolary dialogue" / "letters" / Briefwechsel (set of paired texts - documents written communication entities that make up a coherent text, genre and style acquire certainty and finality, recorded in book publishing). Based epistolary texts, dialogues - correspondence Frisch - Durrenmatt and correspondence Frisch - Johnson - made practical research of epistolary dialogue and image of the author in it based on the mentioned concepts that define this literary category (image of the author) in epistolary texts, thus expands its meaning through correlation with the concepts of intertext, style masks, games, epistolary communicative act with its intermediaries and more.
