Kananovich T. Clinical peculiarities and efficacy of generalized parodontitis treatment in patients of elderly assessment (clinical laboratory study).

The dissertation is dedicated to increasing effectiveness of complex treatment of elderly patients with generalized parodontitis by studying of its clinical development and manifestations peculiarities in this age. Dental status and peculiarities of clinical manifestations of generalized parodontitis are studied. It is determined that extensiveness of caries and diseases of parodontal tissues is 100 %. The level of dental care reach 36,3 %, it is assessed as insufficient. Achieved data indicate the low motivation of oral cavity hygiene in patients of old and elderly age. It is determined that irregularities in bone tissue metabolism such as resorbtion processes prevalence upon remodeling processes make influence in deepening of inflammatory destructive changes. Effectiveness of developed complex of therapeutic and prophylaxis measures directed to achievement of long – term remission is grounded by clinical and laboratory methods of study. Its efficacy in the nearest and remote terms of supervision is proved.
