This dissertation is dedicated to improving the effectiveness of diagnostic of the Marfan syndrome. Ophthalmologic differences in patients with family form of the Marfan syndrome, namely ectopia lentis and iridodonesis (45,10%, p<0,001), amblyopia (p<0,05), secondary glaucoma ( 27,45%, p<0,001) were detected. Prognostic value of flat cornea in patients with the Marfan syndrome was established. Correlation dependence of the refractive power of cornea from the age of a patient, when the aortic aneurism appeared, was established (r=0,66, p=0,001). The impact of mutation of FBN-1 gene on occurrence of primary glaucoma in patients with the Marfan syndrome was set . The value of ophthalmologic examination not only to improve the effectiveness of diagnostic of the Marfan syndrome, but also to prevent blindness and to improve these patients' life conditions.
