Essay

Object of study: the process of liquid formaldehyde-containing waste treatment. Research objective: working out physicochemical ecological-friendly energy saving technology of liquid formaldehyde-containing waste treatment on the basis of wet oxidation method. Research Methods and equipment: volumetry, titrimetric analysis, photometry, X-ray diffraction, electronic microscopy, low temperature nitrogen adsorption, temperature-programmed reduction, artificial neural networks modelling. Theoretical and practical results: on the basis of thermodynamic calculations and kinetic experiments the kinetic model of formaldehyde wet oxidation is suggested, technological scheme of liquid formaldehyde-containing waste treatment is developed, and recommendation for industrial implementation are created. Novelty: theoretically and experimentally established the feasibility of catalytic wet oxidation method for the treatment of liquid formaldehyde-containing waste. The degree of implementation: The results were industrially implemented to PJSC KhPP "Chervonij Khimik", as well as implemented to the educational process of students majoring 05130101 - "Chemical technology of inorganic substances" NTU "KhPI". Application area: chemical industry.
