Tsymbalysta O. Lingual Means of Characters' Mimics and Gestures Expressed in English and Ukrainian Fiction of Late XVIII-XIX Centuries

The thesis deals with a new approach to the study of lingual means of characters' mimics and gestures expressed in English and Ukrainian fiction of late XVIII-XIX centuries. There have been classified the means of characters' mimics and gestures expressed in English and Ukrainian fiction of late XVIII-XIX centuries based on facial expressions, smiles and mimics. There has been set the qualitative correlation of assessed non-verbal actions' symbols of characters in both languages. The common patterns and differences of lingual means of characters' mimics and gestures in studied texts have been found. There have been reconstructed the archetypes of national and cultural semantics' component of key lexemes of characters' mimics and gestures expressed in English and Ukrainian fiction of late XVIII-XIX centuries.
