Essay

Thesis is devoted to the synthesis of novel fluorinated polymers functionalized by azogroups, the developing of new methods for the synthesis of azo-containing monomers and their conversion to polyurethanes with azogroups in the main chain, as well as the study of complex physical, chemical, electrical, optical and nonlinear optical properties of the synthesized polymers. Main results were obtained with use of research methods: IR-, UV-, mass-, NMR spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, variable angle spectroscopic ellipsometry, second harmonic generation. For the first time new methods for the synthesis of azo-containing monomers with different nature electron-writhing and electron-withdrawing groups were developed. Сore-fluorinated polyurethanes with azogroups in the main chain were synthesized. The influence of isomeric of the polymer chain and the nature of electron-withdrawing component polymers on their structural characteristics, physico-chemical, optical and nonlinear optical properties were studied.
