Essay

The object of study is the phenomena of scattering and absorption of the H- and E-polarized electromagnetic plane waves by the finite gratings of a large number of thin material strips. The goal is to build a two-dimensional model of the electromagnetic wave scattering by thin material strips, development of numerical analysis algorithms. Mathematically grounded model of the electromagnetic plane waves scattering by finite strip gratings has been built. The physical regularities of the influence of the geometrical parameters on the scattering characteristics have been revealed. The plasmons have been studied and the grating resonances have been found for the first time. The area is radiophysics.
