This thesis raised the problem of improvement diagnostic help and therapy for patients with cognitive impairment and depressive disorder associated with essential hypertension. Major psychopathological syndromes were presented anxious-depressive (54,9 %), asthenic-depressive (37,3 %) and depressive-hypochondriacal (7,8 %) variants. Clinical diagnoses were responsible rubrics of ICD-10: F06.32 mood disorder due to known physiological condition with major depressive-like episode (51 %), F43.2 adjustment disorder (29,4 %), F34.1 dysthymic disorder (15,7 %), F32 major depressive disorder, single episode (3,9 %). HDRS score was 15,41±1,65. Diagnosed high level of state anxiety (62,7 %) and trait anxiety (63,7 %). Cognitive impairment was observed in 92 women (90,2 %) and characterized by decrease in the volume, strength and focus of attention, the ability to switch deterioration, increased distractibility, difficulty in mastering new material violations in the areas of visual-constructive and executive functions, moderate memory impairment, reduced capacity for abstraction and generalization. The effectiveness of integrated treatment was 73,6 %. Mood stabilization, reduction of levels of state anxiety and trait anxiety, improving cognitive function was greater in the therapeutic group.
