Object - novels of N. Koroleva "1313" and M. Yourcenar "Philosopher's Stone". Main aim - to analyze genotypic and phenotypic features of genre modification of novel-projection in typological studies of Ukrainian and French historical prose of XX-th century. Methods - comparative-typological, philological, structural-semiotic, contextual interpretive, hermeneutic, method of intertextual analysis. The dissertation discusses the similarities and differences of most outstanding examples of the novel-projection in Ukrainian and French literature of the XXth century - works of N. Koroleva "1313" and M. Yourcenar "Philosopher's Stone". The study defines a relevant methodology for the comparative study of the novel-projection, describes the paradigm of historical novels-projections in Ukrainian and French literature of the XXth century and realizes typological comparison of the novels of N. Koroleva and M. Yourcenar on the genological level. The theoretical and textual study of works analyzes chronotop organization, ontological paradigm of the protagonist, genre features of dreaming and intertext in the novel-projection.
