The main focus of this work is lingual pragmatic and lingual stylistic aspects of television discourse using texts of German talk shows' previews. The work presents a theoretical framework of research and defines the parameters of methodological base of the study. According to the conditions and laws of organization of television discourse it was correlated with other types of institutional discourses. As one of the major exponents of mass media discourse, the television discourse is considered as a kind of institutional (television) communication with its inherent constitutive characteristics. The television discourse is treated as a linguistic category, and its identification with the text deals with its situational matter. The concept of "television discourse" is used synonymously with the term "television text" and its constructive principle of formation depends on a combination of linguistic and extra-linguistic means of its realization. The pragmatic analysis is based on a deep research of linguistic manipulation, which is represented in the previews with some communicative strategies and tactics. The main stylistic characteristics of the television texts are expressivity, semantic compression and pregnancy. The results provide promising conditions for further research in the study of television communication from the perspective of linguistic analysis of new interactive television formats.
